Academic Lecture: The Brain and Reading

Professor Hong Lan from Taiwan has translated more than 50 books on biotech and psychology during the intermissions of her teaching duties and research projects. In recent years, she has traveled the length and breadth of Taiwan to promote the habit of reading among students. She affirms that reading is essential to one’s education.

 

In her lecture at CFLC, Prof. Hong presented pertinent research findings in neuroscience which confirm the correlation between habitual reading and the development of the brain. She encouraged CFLC students to read as extensively as possible and think proactively to exercise their creativity.
